Water to be filtered or solids to be dewatered are fed into the integrated tank. Custom versions are available with direct feed into the screw press. The wastewater is pulled up into the filtration canister by the screw. In the Filtration Canister, the water is forced through the filter while the solids larger than the filter size are continuously forced upward. Once through the filtration area, the solids are further dewatered. The specific water content of the solids will depend on the type of solids being separated, the size of the filter, and the speed of the motor. Speed of the motor is controlled via the control panel and integrated variable speed drive. The speed will control the flow rate of the material through the filtration system and ultimately the amount of water in the solids. Filter capacities range from 50 microns up to 1/4 inch. Slipstream's line of continuously-cleaning solids separating systems can be built to your specifications, including flow rates up to 100 gpm. The model shown is our 20 gpm SSX-1200 system.

Slipstream’s Continuously Self-Cleaning Filtration System is designed to clean wastewater with very high solids content, including sand, organics, leaves, salts, etc. The system not only filters solids out, but also continuously cleans the filter and dewaters the solids. This minimizes maintenance and operational cost.
