We again proved that the X-Series Wastewater Crystallizer architecture is a robust and capable machine. This time successfully recycling Tin and Zinc drag-out and rinse wastewater - allowing for our customer to increase production while remaining environmentally compliant.
pACOIMA CALIFORNIA DEPLOYMENT
Slipstream partnered with the largest plating job shop of Cadmium on the west coast. Established in 1965, they are an industry leader in Cadmium and ZInc plating.
During the partnership Slipstream further developed the technology that drives our X-Series' extremely high efficiency as well as a more comprehensive understanding of the unique aspects of the metals finishing industry and electroplating in general. During the evaluation and development period, we ran and successfully treated a range of plating rinse baths and cleaning solutions including but not limited to Cadmium Rinses, Zinc-Nickel Rinses, and Tin-Zinc Rinses.
We demonstrated that the X-Series could take these waste streams with NO chemical pretreatment to adjust pH. A simple mixing strategy was employed to join low pH rinse waters with high pH rinse waters and then diverted to our wastewater evaporator.
REDLANDS CALIFORNIA DEPLOYMENT
Slipstream partnered with a top manufacturer of connectors and components for aerospace and military applications as well as industries such as oil and gas.
During the testing phase we ran a combination of waste streams from Copper Rinses and Nickel Rinses as well as the waste from a their DI Regeneration.
We demonstrated that the X-Series Wastewater Evaporator and Crystallizer is uniquely suited to treat the rinses and return pure, distilled water for reuse within the process allowing a plating or other metals finishing facility to go completely closed loop - NO SEWER DISCHARGE, NO ATMOSPHERIC DISCHARGE.
FURTHER, THE NICKEL CHLORIDE PRODUCED AS A PRODUCT OF THE CRYSTALLIZATION HAS INHERENT VALUE AND IS BEING SOLD TO SMELTERS. USING SLIPSTREAM'S REVOLUTIONARY CRYSTALLIZER ARCHITECTURE, THIS FACILITY HAS TURNED WHAT WAS ONCE A WASTEWATER LIABILITY INTO A VALUABLE ASSET.
KITTANNING PENNSYLVANIA DEPLOYMENT
Slipstream partnered with an independent producer of natural gas established in 1989. The company operates & maintains 600 gas wells and 30,000 acres throughout the Appalachian Basin.
During the partnership, Slipstream ran an evaluation unit for 1 year at their facility to verify the Z-Series' and X-Series' capacity to treat and eliminate a range of wastewater inputs. During the year-long evaluation period, we ran and successfully treated the following:
Fracturing Fluid Flowback (Frac Flowback) - a mixture of water, sand and other additives used in the Marcellus Shale and other formations for fracturing and maintaining an open fracture in the shale formation.
Marcellus Shale and Shallow Well Produced Water - heavy brine produced or extracted during oil and gas extraction.
Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) - Wastewater generated when water runs through or over sulfur-bearing materials and leaches sulfur out, making the drainage acidic. This is the number one pollutant of surface water in the mid-Atlantic region.
Landfill Leachate - Slipstream partnered with one of the largest solid waste management companies in southwestern Pennsylvania to successfully treat their raw leachate -Wastewater generated during rainfall events in which the runoff flows through the solid waste within the landfill which leaches contaminates out.
